Wrapping up 2022
As 2022 is coming to an end, we are thinking about how lucky we are to have an archviz community like you. You motivate us to keep rolling out new courses and experiment with new ways of sharing our expertise – and we thank you for that! In this blog post, we flesh out the most important moments of the year from Brick Academy’s perspective – with some hints for what we have up our sleeves for 2023.
Courses
The Image Generalist in Archviz course was finally restored to its original, in-class format. The health of our students is always number one, and that is why we had to hold it online for a year to keep the pandemic at bay. But we got the green light this year which allowed us to welcome students to Brick’s HQ.
The participants lived like Brickers while completing the four-week course, mingling with our senior artists and project managers during the breaks. It was great to see how many of them used the opportunity for professional networking, connecting with fellow students and Brick artists alike. For the coming year, we have not two but three courses scheduled, the earliest taking place already in February.

We gave our Animation in Archviz course a new, hybrid format. Artists could select between joining the class online or in class. Those who wanted to see our studio, meet us in person and work in a professional environment chose the in-class version. But we provided a solid learning experience for those too who opted to complete the course remotely, working from their home. For 2023, we will keep the same format, giving you the option to pick what is best for you.
We realized how many of you wanted to take our most popular course - Post-Production in Archviz. But because of other obligations, such as work or studies, for most, it had been only a dream to participate in it. This changed as we launched a version of the course which is held only twice a week. As it takes 5 weeks to complete it, we titled it the Long-Term Post-Production in Archviz course.

It was great to see how this was a solution for those who wanted to work but gain new skills in archviz too. Plus, artists living in different time zones - EU, Africa, Asia, and the Americas - found it equally convenient to complete it. Building on this, we will dedicate two special courses to the Asian and American time zones.
The Interior Archviz course debuted this year, which is held by the experts of EVE Images. We felt it was time to offer this specialization, as producing realistic interior images for the real estate industry requires a unique approach.
Are we planning completely new courses for 2023? You bet we are, we want our students to stay ahead of the curve with up-to-date skills. We don’t want to spoil the fun by announcing the titles just yet. Let’s just say it would be unreal to only stick to workflows that center on using 3ds max and Vray…;)
Apart from that, we will shake up our course materials – like we always do – but to an extent that we reveal a collaboration with a reputed architecture firm.
Free archviz knowledge for all
We understand that sometimes you just need bite-sized tutorials quickly or learn in a budget-friendly way. By setting up the Brick Academy Learning Hub, we made archviz knowledge more accessible. After registering for free you can browse through all the learning materials we created, on your own time. We are making preparations to bring you new content more frequently, hopefully by involving more Brick artists for variety.

We were amazed to see how many artists from around the world tuned into our free Virtual Open day. Following the office tour, we broadcast five live sessions, covering one topic from each course we have. We intend to repeat this online event in 2023 too, possibly featuring new projects or different sessions.
Brick Academy Alumni
Altogether 75 artists received the certification issued by Brick Visual, granted upon completing any Brick Academy course. Five skilled artists from this pool resonated so well with the Brick community and values that they now apply their talents to Brick projects as our colleagues.
We hope to hear the success stories of our alumni and who knows, maybe they will be featured in one of these posts next year…
The last post scheduled for this year will collect the best visualizations created by our alumni in 2022. It is no small task to make a selection - at the time of writing this article, we have flagged 250 visuals!
While you’re waiting, you are welcome to browse through our course schedule for 2023.
