01

Starting as a rookie

To get into archviz, most people begin with a degree in architecture, which provides a strong foundation for visualizing architectural spaces. However, many successful archviz artists have entered the field from other backgrounds.

The typical arch-viz career begins with acquiring the technical foundation. This early phase is crucial for understanding the basics of creating architectural models and assets and collaborating with a team.

01
02

Progressing to Junior Artist

As a junior artist, you start to create complete visuals under guidance. Here, you develop your artistic sense, learn to channel your creativity efficiently, and learn how to meet project demands. This role introduces the crucial, storytelling aspect of architectural visualization.

02
03

Growing into a Mid-Level Artist

Reaching senior artist level often takes years of dedication. Seniors lead projects, mentor juniors, and push the creative and technical boundaries. By now, you’re functioning with complete independence. This opens doors to roles like team lead, project manager, creative director, or even a managing partner, depending on your aspirations

03
04

Achieving Senior Artist Status

With experience, you take on more responsibility and work independently on larger projects. At this stage, you refine your skills in composition, lighting, and rendering, while your creative vision starts to shine. You might start considering the direction of your future path within archviz, in more detail around this point.
